2003 Napa Valley Meritage

This wine was blended from two exceptional lots of Napa Valley Merlot. The fruit is predominately sourced from the cool Carneros region with a small amount from Mt. Veeder, adding intensity to the wine. This balance creates a wine with the finesse of a Meritage and the softness of a Merlot. A true Improv!

Wine Notes: Dense ruby in color with elegant aromas of deep, ripe fruit and hints of spices and toasty vanilla oak. This wine is ripe and soft on the palate with flavors of plum pudding, cocoa, nutmeg and cinnamon, finishing with very soft tannins.

Blend: 87.5% Merlot, 12.5% Cabernet
